hello!! im blogging from thailand!
finally back to civilisation after a wk :)
oh well it was a wk well spent...
started off on sunday we flew off to bangkok!
baby sent me off :)) hehes.
and then we took a 7 hr long bus drive to this place called phayak where the nicest shop is prob the esso station lol.
anyway ive learnt and experienced so much the past few days i dont really miss shopping
no tv or com for the past 7 days!
but our living quarters were pretty good.
apparently other missionaries have to like sleep on the floor on mats or sth but we had like a penthse on stilts!
how cool is that! with our own toilet and bed and tv and AIRCON.
i am so thankful for aircon.
day 1 was spent in the village sch doing eyetesting for kids.
the really tiny ones cant read and we mistook them for having poor vision until someone told us they cant read numbers.
ermmm. i think they're around 4 yrs old?
by that age singaporean kids would be able to count backwards from 100 i think.
anw they were really adorable and i like this damn cute boy called natamon!!!!!
too bad all the photos i have of him are really not photogenic.
silly boy was so shy he asked his friends to take photo with him when i wanted a single shot of him boooo.
but it was damn cool doing the kids testing and all.
btw did i mention the kids have headlice???
on our 2nd day in the village sch the medical team had to do some headlice operation thing which was like lining up the kids in rows and scrubbing their heads with headlice solution.
lol. i think they enjoyed it.
but i was kinda freaked out coz i damn scared i kena headlice la.
the kids are super eager to learn which is damn different from singapore kids ok!
its like we were writing the medicine names on the packets and they wanted to write!
so i gave one of them a pen and taught him to write vit c, and like 10 kids crowded around me so anxious to write!
hahaha then my mom kept sayin they had headlice so i got freaked out and tried to shake them off.
so they ended up writing A and B on the ground instead.
it was so amazing coz all i did was take a stick and write A and B on the ground and they all QUEUED up to write!!! omg. can u imagine singapore kids doing that?
hahahah :D
ok im damn tired going to bed now!
